Acne Scarring: Why Sequence Matters
Treating scarring while acne is still active usually costs time and money twice.
Scars are the record of past inflammation. If inflammation is still ongoing, new marks form while old ones are being treated.
The usual sequence is: settle the active condition, protect the barrier, then work on texture in planned intervals with sun protection in between.
Different scar types also behave differently. An assessment identifies which types you have before any device or programme is proposed.
